LPG Boilers – How do they work?
Liquid petroleum gas is only a liquid at a moderate pressure, meaning that the liquid within the storage tanks becomes a gas when it is released from the tank. LPG boilers require smaller burner jets than gas boilers as the fuel is at a higher natural pressure than the gas mains.LPG is also renowned for its “clean burning” characteristics. LPG Boilers contain fewer components than gas or oil boilers which means that it is easier to achieve the fuel to air ratio that allows LPG to burn. LPG boilers are available as combis or system boilers. Combi LPG boilers produce heat for your central heating and hot water systems that is supplied directly. System LPG boilers heat the central heating directly whilst working in tandem with a hot water cylinder to produce heated water for the domestic water system (taps, showers,etc).
