Heat Exchangers for Water Heaters (Page 2)

The heat exchanger is the device that transfers heat from from one medium to another without them coming into direct contact. The heat exchanger will usually sit above the burner within the appliance and, when ignited, it will heat the water that has been pumped in to it. Certain Appliances will also have a plate heat exchanger which is used in the appliance to heat water for the Domestic Hot Water system.
