This part is located around the flow switch section. The flow switch is used as a safety device that has an inbuilt sensor which sits in the pipework for both the heating and hot water systems. The flow switch is designed to detect movement in the pipework and feeds the information to the PCB which then allows the ignition sequence to progress. The purpose of the flow switch is making sure there is enough water in the system and prevents the burner from activating if the system is low on water.
