This part is located within the condensate trap section. The condensate trap is used to hold the discharge which is created from the heating/cooling process. This is caused by the fluctuations in temperatures and pressures within the system. A discharge pipe which is attached to the condensate trap is used to remove water from the trap and out of the property. The water in the trap may be acidic due carbon dioxide from the combustion process being dissolved in the water.
