ATAG S4467300 DRAIN SAFETY VALVE SHR.
The pressure relief valve, sometimes called safety valve, relief valve or the PRV is used to relieve the pressure in a system. It is set to open if the system pressure goes above a certain point to prevent the system from getting damaged . Each PRV has an internal "bar" limit set, when the pressure within the system exceeds the bar the prv opens to allow water to escape which in turn decreases the pressure within the system .
