The diverter valve is an instrument that is only found on a combi boiler, which is designed to allow hot water to be redirected to either the radiators for central heating or to the taps for hot water. This is what makes a combi boiler different from normal boilers due to the diverter valve allowing hot water to both central heating and taps without a cylinder .
