The pilot burner works in conjunction with the PCB and pilot assembly to ensure that the gas is ignited safely and efficiently. When the appliance is activated the gas valve releases the gas into the burner and the pilot burner, a naked flame within the appliance is needed to ignite the gas which is flowing into the main burner .
