The diverter valve is a directional water mechanism that is only found on a combi boiler, which allows hot water to be redirected to either the radiators for central heating or to the taps for hot water. This is a feature that separates combi boilers from normal boilers due to the fact a cylinder is not required and can still provide water to both the taps and radiators .
