This part is located around the flow switch section. The flow switch is used as a safety mechanism that has a built in sensor which sits in the pipework for both the heating and hot water systems. The flow switch is designed to detect movement in the pipework and feeds the information to the PCB which then allows the ignition sequence to progress. The purpose of the flow switch is to ensure there is plenty of water in the system and prevents the burner from activating if the system is low on water.
