The Air Pressure Switch, also known as the APS is a safety mechanism used to ensure the fan is fully functional. The fan prevents a build-up of dangerous gasses within the appliance, extracting them safely. The air pressure switch is monitored by the printed circuit board, ensuring that it is fully effective; if the air pressure switch is not operating correctly the PCB will restrict the appliance from firing up .
