POTTERTON 5140185 RELIEF VALVE.

The pressure relief valve, sometimes called PRV, relief valve or safety valve, is used to relieve the pressure in a system. It is set to open when the pressure within the system rises past a certain point to prevent the system from getting damaged . Each PRV has a set "bar", once this bar is reached the pressure relief valve opens and the build up of water is discharged which reduces the amount of pressure within the system .
