The thermistor is a part which is designed to change the resistance of the circuit if the temperature changes. There are two types of thermistors PTC or NTC, it is important to use the correct thermistor as these are designed to be used by the PCB to detemine if more heat is required in the system depending on the resistance in the circuit .
