This part is located within the condensate trap section. The condensate trap is used to contain the discharge which comes from the heating/cooling system. This is caused by the changing pressures and temperatures in the system. A discharge pipe which is attached to the condensate trap is used to remove water from the trap and out of the property. The water inside a trap may be mildly acidic due to the carbon dioxide released in the combustion process being dissolved in the water.
