This part is located within the condensate trap section. The condensate trap is used to contain the discharge from the primary heating/cooling system. This is caused by the change of pressures and temperatures within the systems. A discharge pipe linked to the condensate trap is used to move the water out of the property. The water inside a condensate trap may be slightly acidic due to the carbon dioxide released in the combustion process being absorbed in the water.
