This part is located within the condensate trap section. The condensate trap is used to hold the discharge which is created from the heating/cooling process. This is caused by the fluctuations in temperatures and pressures within the system. A discharge pipe linked to the condensate trap is used to move the water out of the property. The water inside a trap may be mildly acidic due to the carbon dioxide released in the combustion process being dissolved in the water.
