This part is located within the condensate trap section. The condensate trap is used to contain the discharge which is created from the heating/cooling process. This is caused by the change of pressures and temperatures within the systems. A discharge pipe linked to the condensate trap is used to move the water out of the property. The water within a condensate trap may be mildly acidic due to the carbon dioxide from the combustion process being dissolved in the water.
