Product Information: This part is based within the microswitch section of the appliance. The microswitch gives the appliance the ability to perform certain actions dependent on certain criteria. The microswitch in the fire suppression system, for example, is turned on when a problem is detected within the system. The microswitch then sends a notification message to the electronic control board, letting it know to switch off the fan that delivers fresh air to the fire and keep the exhaust fan working to ensure all smoke and gasses are vented correctly.. There are various models of microswitch dependent on the location and what mechanism they are attached to.
