The diverter valve is a directional water mechanism that is only found on a combi boiler, which allows hot water to be redirected to the taps in a hot water system or to the radiators in a central heating system. This is the main difference between a combi boiler and a normal boiler due to the diverter valve allowing hot water to both central heating and taps without a cylinder .
