The thermistor increases the current resistance as it gets colder The electronic control board sends a current to the thermistor and can tell whether a decrease or increase in heat is needed by the relative resistance in the thermistor.

This part is present in 14 different boilers in the Worcester range including the Worcester 24I NG , SI 25 , SI 25 , 28I NG , 28SI NG .
