The Air Pressure Switch, which is also reffered to as the APS is used as a safety device to ensure the fan is in full working order. The fan prevents a build-up of dangerous gasses within the appliance, extracting them safely. The air pressure switch is tracked by the princted circuit board (PCB), ensuring that it is fully effective; if the air pressure switch is not operating correctly the PCB will restrict the appliance from firing up .
