This part is based near the electrodes. There are two types of electrode available, the flame sensing electrodes and the ignition electrodes. The ignition electrode is also known as a spark electrode and causes a spark that starts off combustion inside the burner. The flame sensing electrodes are responsible for detecting whether there is a flame in the burner, this is important as if the flame is not burning correctly or not at all then no more fuel will be added .
