Product Information: This part is located within the heat exchanger section of the appliance. There are two different types of heat exchanger that can be installed, the primary heat exchanger and the secondary heat exchanger. The primary is present in almost all boilers and it allows the heat to be transferred from the burner to the water within the system. The secondary heat exchanger occurs infrequently in fires and allows the heat to be transferred from one closed system to another. Fires usually have a back burner or have the heat exchanger built in to the flue system.
